Senior Green Hydrogen
Process Engineer
Responsibilities:
Supports Green Hydrogen Production Business
Development
Performs all activities related to process
design and detailed engineering, such as mass and energy balance
calculations
Creates process flow diagrams (PFD), piping
and instrumentation diagram (PID) and cause & effect diagrams
Performs all activities related to process
simulation and optimization
Reviews and generates design documentation
Develops conceptual schemes and studies
Performs sizing and selection of equipment
and creates equipment lists and specifications
Scopes all necessary engineering and design
studies and supports the technical team during projects’ maturation phases
until RTB
Performs CAPEX and OPEX modeling, LCOE,
LCOH, LCOS and other cost analysis and inputs to plant layout
Oversees the process design developed by
Engineering contractors during Feasibility, FEED and Detailed Engineering
phases of the green hydrogen production projects
Supports procurement manager with vendor
enquiries for budget pricing
Supports safety and risk studies and other
key analysis such as HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and so forth
Works closely with the Permitting team to
ensure that consenting requirements are properly taken into account in the
design of the project
Interacts with supporting functions as well
as off takers, vendors, OEMs, subcontractors, partners and other
stakeholders
Contributes to the development of methods,
tools and guides within the Green Hydrogen Production Business Development
Prepares the high level Ο&Μ Plan of the project to facilitate OPEX
modeling
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Process or Chemical
Engineering
Minimum 8 years of proven experience as a
process engineer – ideally in green hydrogen production, other emerging
fuels such as methanol, ammonia, CCUS or alternatively in oil & gas or
equivalent
Experience with software modeling packages
such as Aspen Hysys, Homer Pro or equivalent
Excellent understanding of electrolysis and
fuel cells
Excellent understanding of the hydrogen
value chain
Proven skill set in process engineering,
technical safety and project management
Ability to support multiple emerging
chemicals types: hydrogen, carbon dioxide, ammonia, methanol
Ability to work in an integrated team:
renewables, transmission, BESS, hydrogen production-compression-storage,
hydrogen transmission and blending, power to X, end user support
Competencies:
